Welcome to TechShelta

TechShelta Company Limited is an innovative AgriTech company based in Accra, Ghana. Co-founded by Kennedy Adufah and Paulus Papa, the company emerged from the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC) 2018 incubation cohort and was later supported by the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC). TechShelta’s vision is to be the premier hub for greenhouse farming support services across the agricultural value chain.

The startup was founded to address a critical inefficiency in local agriculture: many greenhouse farmers in Ghana achieve only about 40% of their expected crop yields. This deficit is primarily caused by a lack of specialized agronomic knowledge, reliance on inefficient manual operations, and poor access to end markets.

To solve this, TechShelta provides a comprehensive suite of software and hardware solutions tailored specifically for greenhouse operations. Their integrated web and mobile platform offers three primary services:

  • On-Demand Advisory: Giving farmers access to expert agronomic advice to improve cultivation techniques and pest management.

  • Automation Services: Utilizing technology to optimize and automate the physical maintenance and environmental controls within the greenhouse, reducing human error and labor costs.

  • Market Linkages: Creating direct, digital connections between the greenhouse farmers and vegetable consumers, wholesalers, and retailers, ensuring farmers can reliably sell their produce at competitive prices.

Sector Impact By digitizing and automating greenhouse management, TechShelta significantly lowers the barriers to entry for modern farming in Ghana. Their technology-driven approach ensures that smallholder and commercial greenhouse operators can maximize their production efficiency, reduce waste, and secure higher incomes, ultimately contributing to better food security and climate-resilient agriculture in the region
